Gravesite information
We have recently completed the post-vandalism inventory of the Poile Zedek Cemetery. Although we will be contacting families further regarding the status of their relatives' grave stones, we are providing a list detailing the vandalism as far as we have been able to ascertain. It is possible that once stones are lifted we will discover additional damage of which families will notified.
You can find information about your family's stones by clicking on the letters to your left to search. If you cannot find a name, please try the search option. Please note that the last colum "Sealed or Unsealed" refers to the stone sealed or unsealed to the base.
If there are misspelled names or you cannot find your family’s graves, please email us by clicking here and put “gravestone query” in the subject line. If you have already forwarded your contact information, please DO NOT send it again.
We are currently receiving estimates from several well-known monument companies regarding re-erecting the stones and replacing broken ones. There is a great cost savings if one company will do all or most of the work. We hope to complete this process as early as next week (the last week of February). We will let families know the procedure and options for re-erecting the stones as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience during this trying time.
